The Long Family

In 2014 Shane Long, his parents Roger and Tammy Long, along with his brother Jordan Long, purchased Aldworth Manor and began a massive renovation of the property. The Longs now welcome wedding parties, guests looking for a quiet getaway, and locals, who enjoy concerts, Public Nights, and other special events. You can read more about the Manor’s history and see photos of the renovation here.

Shane

Shane is the face and CEO of Aldworth Manor. He lives on the property year-round and stays busy carrying out the day-to-day administrative and management duties. Shane helps guide renovations and enjoys working in the gardens and restoring other parts of the estate. While in college and teaching, he spent summers traveling and working on a farm in Italy. Those experiences have served him well in recapturing Aldworth’s Italianate style. He also manages Aldworth Tavern, the manor’s in-house food and bar service.

Shane is a musician, singer and music educator with degrees in English, Music Education and Choral Conducting. He taught music and was a choral conductor in Arkansas, the Kansas City area and Asheville, before moving to Boston. It was there where he ventured into the small business world and began searching for a historic property in New England. After three years of searching, he and his family found Aldworth in 2014.
